Animation???

My buddy, Gia posted some quick animations he did on his DS with a program called Flickbook. And while I don't have a DS, it inspired me to do some animation for fun. So I played around in Flash for several hours animating a swinging spidey. It's really rough and there are a lot of problems with the animation, but it was a lot of fun. You'll have to click on the image above to see the animated gif.

OG Snake Eyes

I've been sick and stuck in my teeny tiny apartment recovering the past weekend. Although it sucks being stuck inside (especially during the holidays), it gave me a good opportunity to play with my new Cintiq21UX (when I wasn't coughing up a lung). Both the Wolvie and Snake Eyes were done on the Cintiq and I gotta say, I love using the thing. I don't think it'll magically make my art any better, but it sure is a lot of fun.

Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas!

sktechbook thingy

I was playing with some acrylic in my sketchbook and this guy emerged from the page. I thought about going in tightening it up, but I like the loose feel of it the way it is.

Nick Fury: Agent of SHIELD

A friend of mine was telling me about an idea he had for a short comic book story he wanted to draw just for fun. It starred Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD. I've always loved comic books and I hope he'll find the time to put it together cause it sounds like a cool idea.

Back!

Sorry for the long absence, but a few months ago I was abducted by aliens and held captive aboard their ship. While a prisoner, the aliens tortured me day and night, broadcasting Michael Bolton's "Time, Love, and Tenderness" album over the intercom while simultaneously forcing me to watch Disney's "3 Ninjas" over and over again. Luckily, I escaped using my keen detective skills and trusty utility belt. Barring any more abductions, I should be posting on a more semi-regular basis again.
